"We Shall Sail Together" is a song from the soundtrack of the video game Sea of Thieves. It was first featured in the cinematic trailer for the game shown at the 2016 E3 Expo.[1]
The Longest Johns released a music video for their version of the song on YouTube on 2 February 2023, marking the third appearance of the Johns' disembodied heads in a Sea of Thieves-related video. Also, although she does not appear in the video, the song features Lucy Humphris on trumpet. (Doot.)
Factoids
The song borrows its tune from the traditional Drunken Sailor, but changes the time signature from 4/4 to 6/8 and uses a significantly slower tempo.
According to the game's website, the title line "allud[es] to the focus Sea of Thieves has on sharing an adventure with your friends."
The TLJ video was filmed entirely in-game, although they did receive some kraken-related insider assistance from the Sea of Thieves video team.
