lyrics template

Hi, I've noticed most of the lyrics follows this format:

h2 Lyrics
single blockquote with br's
first chorus, prefixed by {chorus}
later chorus's replaced with {chorus} or possibly {chorus x*}

Is this the official template? If so, I might go through a couple of songs and update them. E.g. Wayfaring Stranger and Parting Glass. But I don't want to spend time formatting if there's no style to follow :)

I don't know that it's anything "official"; that's essentially what I've been using, but I've only added lyrics myself on a handful of pages, and I've only been "cleaning up" the few I've noticed that were formatted really strangely (likely copied straight from other websites) such that they were hard to read (huge multi-line gaps, etc). Some songs are harder to fit into that format, e.g. in "Wayfaring Stranger" the chorus changes slightly each time, which I'm guessing is why whoever made the page didn't just put {chorus}. My personal philosophy (and to be clear, I'm not an official representative of wiki management) is to prioritize readability for the lyrics sections, so I'm not much fussed about things like "chorus" vs "refrain" or parentheses vs curly brackets, or making sure that each song follows the same format exactly, but if standardization is your jam, I'm certainly not opposed, as long as lyrical integrity and readability are maintained.
