"Tennessee Waltz" is a country waltz with lyrics by Redd Stewart and music by Pee Wee King. They wrote the song in 1946 and released the first version with their band the Golden West Cowboys in January 1948. It has been covered numerous times, most successfully by Patti Page in 1950, and has become a country standard as well as a regular feature of college sporting events in Tennessee.[1]
The Longest Johns' version was released as track 3 on their collaboration EP with El Pony Pisador, The Longest Pony.
